Author Visits

I am currently offering in-person and virtual author visits via Zoom.

In-person visits to local schools, libraries, and festivals in London start from £150. Workshops come at an extra cost, email for a quote.

Virtual readings are 30 minutes long and are £50 or free with a minimum order of 10 books from the school or community group.

In-person Author visits include:

  • Interactive and engaging reading of my books and a Q&A session that gives children a chance to ask me questions.

  • A short talk about the process of writing and publishing a book.

  • One signed copy of each book.

  • Discount code for parents and children to purchase my books at a discounted price from my site.

Workshops:

  • Writing workshop (adapted to different age groups). Inspired by ‘My Sister the Speedy Racer’ children will write their own short short story about a simple journey gone wrong.

  • Case Study of Ghana. Using ‘The Frimpong’s Trip of Return’, videos and songs. I will give children a mini lesson on the country of Ghana, its location, culture and the physical and human geography of the country. This lesson meets aims in the national curriculum programmes of study for KS1 Geography and will fit perfectly in an Africa subject topic. I will provide a worksheet that will be great for recording learning.

  • Craft Workshop. Choose from making lollystick go-karts or African bead bracelets.

  • Drama Workshop. As a group, I will prepare children to act out the story of ‘My Sister the Super Speedy Racer.’ This workshop requires a large space and will involve drama and movement games.
