Efua Mills-Robertson

Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.

I was born In Ghana, bred in London. Growing up I was surrounded by storytellers; we couldn't go to a party without an Uncle telling a hilarious tale.

From a young age, I wanted to tell stories through performance, writing, and craft. As I went through university I picked up skills like programming and design that equipped me to tell stories through digital media. After a slew of different jobs in a variety of industries, I finally settled in teaching.

Being a primary school teacher has allowed me to learn more about what children read and enjoy and understand the way they talk and interact with others. I am compelled to write books that show the diversity of my culture and upbringing, and also give voice to the varied stories that are not always told.

I bravely started my published author in 2020 with the help of my cousin Nab who illustrated 'My Sister the Super Speedy Racer'. Since then, I have been honing my craft and working on publishing more books.
